I bet you probably believed that Facebook was only good for connecting with lost friends, family, and old college roommates, but it’s so much more than that; especially now. In this interview with Michelle, we cover not only how she became the “Queen of Facebook”, but her advice to those who are on information overload.
Facebook is Her Passion
Those of you, who don’t know Michelle, will quickly find out that Facebook is her passion. She doesn’t have one specific reason why, but she can tell you that it was she fell in love with.
Michelle was using other marketing tools like article marketing, and more, but at the time she was working with a mentor and coach who encouraged her to take Facebook aside, master it, and forget the rest. The key? Master one thing, and then you can build on it.
Facebook Breakthrough for Michelle Was Consistency
You probably have noticed that there is a common theme here with these leaders, but it’s really all about having a breakthrough and for everyone it’s different.
For Michelle the difference was consistency. Michelle says that the real key to getting a breakthrough is being consistent, and if you can do that then you are a step ahead. She says that putting your hand to the grindstone and working it hard or 90 days is when you get the results that you have been waiting for.
There will ultimately be a day when finally someone notices what you are doing and you then see what is happening!
Facebook Strategy is a Great Teacher
Michelle does love Facebook no doubt, and while it is true that you should pick something that you are comfortable with to get you started, be sure that you follow those who have had success and you will have something that you can fashion it after.
It is never right to copy it exactly, but just duplicate the abiding principle, and move on from there. Be sure that you not only work to master it, but that you follow through with it.
Michelle encourages people to also take something that is out of their comfort zone and give it a shot, because unless you do, you will never be able to move forward. The key to marketing is trying different things, but doing one thing at a time keeps you from getting overwhelmed.
There is much that we can learn from Michelle Pescosolido, but at the end of the day even Michelle wants you to know that the word that sums up success for her is fulfillment.
Much like the others that I have interviewed, there is a resounding message that at the end of the day, the one thing that matters is fulfillment and helping others succeed. This is the true definition of success.
Hopefully we can all learn something from Michelle, and even if your one thing isn’t Facebook, keep going until you find your niche!
